(VP Series II: February 1993 - July 1993)
Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) was introduced with the VP, and it was standard on Calais and Commodore SS. The IRS was adapted from the long wheelbase VQ.
A security system was standard on all models, and it featured automatic ignition disable, ECM disable, and door key activated deadlocks.
Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) was introduced in August 1992, and was an option on cars with a V8 and IRS. For the Series II, it was an option on all models.

Commodore Vacationer
The Vacationer was a limited edition and came equipped with air conditioning and power front windows as standard. The autos also came with cruise control and a power antenna. The vacationer also featured special wheel covers, ID decals, 15 inch wheels and tyres, padded headrests and chrome exhaust tailpipes.

Calais International
In September 1992 Holden released a limited edition of 150 or 300? VP Calais International Series. These vehicles were either white or black or anthracite grey. Basically they were a Calais with V8 engine, ABS, leather and suede inside, full electrics, leather steering wheel and a sports kit made up of the SS and Caprice.
